Félix Solaguren-Beascoa de Corral (Bilbao, 1956) is a Barcelona-based architect, current Director of the Barcelona School of Architecture and current President of the Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction and Urbanism panel of the Spanish National Teaching Quality Assessing Commission (CNEAI). He is Chair Professor at the Department of Architectural Projects of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) AND teaches at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). His pioneering spirit for research in architecture has been awarded with remarkable scholarships and funds along with research stays in Italy, Sweden, Denmark, USA, Germany and Portugal. He is a renowned speaker and author, especially on the life and work of Arne Jacobsen. His last book “Research in architecture” was published in 2017 and constitutes a key reference for many researchers nowadays.
